Where/when/how do find Russell ever referring to himself as an "apostle of God" or the "torchbearer of the world"? I did an electronic search through Russell's writings for "torchbearer", "torch bearer" and "apostle of God"; for all three searches I found nothing at all. Conclusion: Russell never made any claims for himself as stated.
Russell's wife plainly stated in court that she was not accusing her husband of adultery. The "divorce" was what today would be called "legal separation".
